The Youth Summit is a one-day conference that trains participants in bill writing, mock trial, press corps, and voting. Through hands-on, experiential learning, students learn:
- Public policy through bill writing
- Court proceedings
- Journal writing and interview skills
- Fair elections and voter registration
Student delegates will participate in a bill ideation, which gives them a better understanding of what takes place at the Legislative Weekend conference. They will also practice crafting arguments for Mock Trial. Students will learn about leadership roles they can volunteer for and how to run for elected office!
